Introducing the brand new ASTROX 88 S and ASTROX 88 D. With defensive techniques evolving rapidly, scoring points has never been more difficult. The ASTROX 88 S and D models are designed to overcome this challenge.

The new Yonex Astrox 88 S/D TOUR Badminton Rackets are based on the Yonex Astrox 88 S/D PRO racket.

Yonex offer PRO, TOUR, GAME and PLAY series rackets, each developed with the same performance concept but featuring variations in flexibility, materials used, technologies equipped, intended skill level and country of manufacture.

Yonex TOUR models are a take-down version of the PRO model. Typically, they possess medium to stiff shafts and are aimed at intermediate level players. TOUR frames are made in Taiwan and have a lower price point compared to the PRO.

The ASTROX 88 S allows for decisive front court attacks, while the ASTROX 88 D breaks down defences with back court attacks. New technologies are introduced in this 3rd Generation ASTROX 88 S/D as well as enhancements in the ASTROX series acclaimed Rotational Generator System. Advancing the Rotational Generator System further, a POWER-ASSIST BUMPER was added to the top of the frame, the extra weight enhances power transfer to the shuttle. The newly shaped POWER-ASSIST BUMPER fits seamlessly onto the racquet, reducing air resistance.

In the new PRO and TOUR models 2G-Namd Flex Force* has been implemented throughout the shaft to maximize shot power. 2G-Namd Flex Force is a new graphite characterised by its quick flex and snapback capabilities. Combined with the newly enhanced Rotational Generator System, the rapid flex and snapback allows for continuous attacks and a new dawn for doubles players.

Regarding the differences for each model, the ASTROX 88 S focuses on control and manoeuvrability for fast rallies on the front court while increasing power. The ASTROX 88 S is 5 mm longer and has the added benefit of an expanded sweet spot for precise control. The complimenting ASTROX 88 D, is 10 mm longer in length, focuses on back-court power, ultimately enhancing overall power shots from the back court to break the opponent’s defence. Added benefits for the ASTROX 88 D include a concentrated sweet spot and additional weight on the sides of the frame. This weight distribution on all four sides of the frame improves stability at impact for an overall stronger smash.

The ASTROX 88 S and ASTROX 88 D launched in March 2024, in three distinct models: PRO, TOUR, GAME, and beginner model ASTROX 88 PLAY. Each model is developed with the same performance concept but features variations in the materials used and technologies equipped.

 *Namd is technology developed by Nitta Co., Ltd. to uniformly disperse carbon nanotubes in carbon fiber composites.

However, we are willing to be flexible and extend this period if your purchase is intended as a gift for a specific event, such as a birthday. To simplify the returns process, we offer a pre-filled returns form that you can use to return your item. However, if you are returning an item from outside the UK, you will be responsible for the shipping costs, which must include tracking information.

Once we receive your returned item, we will provide a full refund for the value of the goods, minus the cost of us sending the order to you initially.

Warranty Policy

Within 30 Days of receipt of the items:

If you have received items with genuine manufacturer defects, you are entitled to a simple 30-day warranty from the retailer. Simply return the items within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange.

More than 30 days?

If it has been more than 30 days since receipt of the items, we will work with the brands or suppliers to determine whether the defect can be covered under warranty. In most cases, the defect will be covered, but the outcome may depend on how the damage occurred.

Still not covered but within 6 months of purchase?

If the items are not covered under warranty but are still within six months of purchase, we offer a crash replacement policy. This means that we will provide a 25% discount off your next order for the same or an alternative replacement item. Please note that this does not include postage costs.
